Strong state policies that reward best practices can improve student outcomes and increase equity at PreK-12 and postsecondary levels. State higher education systems that award college credits or placement for advanced academics help improve student access and opportunity in colleges and universities.

Connecticut awards school accountability points for Cambridge International AS & A Level. Cambridge courses and exams are aligned with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
