Cambridge school leaders conferences held in Jordan, Egypt, and Qatar
In February, Cambridge welcomed more than 500 school leaders to conferences in Amman, Cairo, and Doha. The events offered a platform to share key updates for the region — including the introduction of component retakes for Cambridge IGCSE exams and the launch of a third Cambridge Checkpoint series, providing greater flexibility for schools.
Dr Mark Winterbottom, Professor of Education at the University of Cambridge, delivered a keynote speech on why autonomy matters in school development. The agenda also included the popular 'Insight to Impact' session, supporting school leaders to use data more effectively for continuous improvement.
These well-attended conferences showcased the region’s strong leadership and the shared ambition to create more inclusive, effective learning environments.
Cambridge hosts integration-focused events in Alexandria and Cairo

In March, around 170 school leaders from across Egypt attended dedicated Cambridge events in Alexandria and Cairo. These sessions focused on how an integrated approach — aligning curriculum, teaching resources, and assessment — can enhance student learning and support teachers in the classroom.
The events featured interactive sessions and practical examples of how schools can use the full suite of Cambridge support to design more cohesive and impactful learning journeys for students. By promoting better alignment across all aspects of teaching and learning, Cambridge aims to help schools deliver a more connected and effective educational experience.
